For couples undergoing IVF treatment, several attempts may be necessary until pregnancy is achieved. Typically, due to economic and psychological factors, it is recommended to wait at least one month between two IVF treatments. However, for couples with limited time, it is possible to start another treatment cycle with the first menstrual period following an unsuccessful treatment.

Infertility is defined as the absence of pregnancy after 12 months of unprotected and regular sexual intercourse. Due to the decline in fertility that occurs with advancing age in women, this period is reduced to 6 months for couples where the woman is over 35 years old. Infertility, which is a common condition today, affects approximately 15% of couples of reproductive age. Health problems in one or both partners can contribute to infertility. In some couples, no underlying cause for infertility can be found.
